The new Pluto photos reveal complex features that 'rival anything we've seen in the solar system'
NASA just released the latest
photos of Pluto, and they reveal more complex features and diversity on
the surface than scientists could have ever hoped to imagine.
Here's one of the newest photos
that shows the heart-shaped feature, informally named Tombaugh Regio, in
the upper-right portion of the dwarf planet:

New Horizons spacecraft to get a better look at just 7,800 miles above
the Plutonian surface — about 500,000 times closer than Earth.
And some of the first
photos it snapped and transmitted to Earth told a mysterious tale of
this icy world that still has scientists scratching their heads. Mountains of water ice and nitrogen snow are just a couple of the perplexing possibilities on Pluto.
Now, New Horizons has sent back
some of the most detailed photos yet of Pluto's surface that have
doubled the amount that we can see in super-fine detail.
"Pluto is showing us a diversity
of landforms and complexity of processes that rival anything we've seen
in the solar system," said New Horizons Principal Investigator Alan
Stern in a NASA statement.
"If an artist had painted this Pluto before our flyby, I probably would
have called it over the top — but that's what is actually there."
These latest shots reveal the
most heavily cratered portion of Pluto ever seen. Because other features
on Pluto are surprisingly smooth — which suggests a younger surface
smoothed over time by geological activity — this heavily cratered region
is the oldest region of Pluto observed so far, NASA said.
The oldest region borders one of
the youngest on Pluto, informally named Sputnik Planum, which is the
left lobe of the heart-shaped feature. Here's where on Pluto we're

What we do know is that even if your dad is the leader of the free world, he can still embarrass you by getting all weepy about how proud of you he is.
Kim Kardashian Shares First Preview of Kanye West's Yeezy Season 2
Kim Kardashian gives us our first look
at Kanye West's second collection for adidas, Yeezy Season 2. West's
wife posted the image above and below giving us a sneak peak of what we
can expect from the new collection.
While
the full outfit image is captioned "TONIGHT - GIVENCHY X YEEZY," the
close-up on just the footwear is titled "SNEAK PEEK- YEEZY SEASON2 🔥."
The descriptions make it safe to assume that the only design here by 'Ye
is the pair of thigh-high boots. The heeled boots have openings at both
the toe and the heels and come in the nude, tan color West has
gravitated towards recently.
The
preview may only be of womenswear for now, but at the very least it's
more proof that West has something in the works for Yeezy Season 2. A movie listing for the collection popped up on Fandango,
but the date posted for that event, Sept. 10, has come and gone.
However, NYFW has only just begun so there's plenty of time for West to
put on a surprise presentation.
Luka Sabbat, Cool Teen and one of the models from the Yeezy Season 1 show, told us what we can expect from the new collection.
"There’s so much more clothes," he told Complex. "There’s way more
shoes… And there’s not much adidas branding on it, it’s just a Kanye
brand which I think is dope."
